About the Safari & Game Drives
You’ll be living the high life in comfortable accommodation deep in the bush, staying in large rooms with private verandahs and full en-suite facilities, as well as small lodges, such as the fabulous lodge located on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. After it all, you’ll unwind on the white sands of Zanzibar. You’ll be amazed by all that Tanzania has to offer!
Our driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Depending on your arrival time we can add a nights’ accommodation in Arusha or if you arrive early enough you can start off for your first safari destination, just let us know what works best for you!
Ilboru Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight
Leave Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara is surrounded by a lush tropical forest filled with mahogany and fig trees. During the game drive spend time enjoying the parks magnificent birds, baboons, giraffe, hippopotamus, elephant, and buffalo. If you are really lucky, you may even see Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions! Spend your evening at your Octagon Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast you will leave for the Serengeti. As you make your way through the Ngorongoro Highland you will see Masai villages and herdsmen along the way. Serengeti National Park is a vast and beautiful expanse spanning 5,600 square miles and holds the largest concentration of plain animals in the world. The migration months offer excellent opportunities to view animal behavior due to the abundance of both predators and prey. There are hundreds of birds and animals to see in the Serengeti including wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, antelope and much more. Spend the entire day in Serengeti National Park. Journey to the remote hippo pools and the lesser traveled areas of the Serengeti in search of the “Big 5” African animals. Enjoy your overnight at your lodge Tanzania Bush Camping Luxury Tented Camp.

Spend the entire day in Serengeti National Park. Make your way to some of the more remote areas of the Serengeti in hopes of seeing “the hunt”. If you are patient you may be lucky enough to see lions or hyenas as they stalk their prey. Overnight at your lodge (location depends on availability.)
Tanzania Bush Camping Luxury Tented Camp
After break leave Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater for game viewing. Enjoy a full day in the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 2000 feet to the crater floor to explore the 100 square miles of this amazing place. The crater provides a protected habitat for thousands of mammals and birds. You have a great chance to see all of the “Big 5” animals in the crater; lion, rhino, leopard, elephant and Cape Buffalo as well as hundreds of wildebeest, zebra and many species of small antelopes. During some seasons, the soda lake on the crater floor is crowded with flamingo and other water birds. Enjoy your overnight at your Octagon Lodge.
Walking tour to Lake Eyasi
Visit Local tribes Tindiga/Hadzabe and Bushman
After Breakfast in the lodge depart for Lake Eyasi safari to meet up the elusive Hadzabe tribe, whom you learn more about their fascinating culture. Picnic lunch then go for Dagota village tour. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. After breakfast, drive to Tarangire to discover the giant termite mounds and baobab trees of Tarangire. This park is also home to thousands of elephants. The vegetation of this park consists of open acacia woodland and many baobab trees. Tarangire is an ornithologists paradise, offering an incredible diversity of birds. Enjoy your overnight at your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Leave on the morning flight to Zanzibar. Arrive in Stone Town around noon. Our staff will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel Tausi Palace Hotel Zanzibar. Spend the rest of your day enjoying the beach.
Spend all day enjoying Zanzibar. Organize a diving lesson with the hotel or visit an offshore island. Return to the Tausi Palace Hotel Zanzibar for overnight. Breakfast included
Spend the morning and early afternoon soaking in the sun. During the afternoon you will be transferred back to Stone Town for a final night on the town. Visit the lively outdoor fish restaurants or take a city tour. Spend the night at the Tausi Palace Hotel Zanzibar.

Catch an early afternoon flight to Dar es salaam where you adventure will be complete and you will catch your flight back home.
